The lathe spindle refers to the axis on the machine tool that drives the rotation of the workpiece or tool. Usually composed of spindle components, bearings, and transmission components (gears or pulleys). The spindle serves as the executive component of the machine tool, supporting the transmission components and torque. During operation, it drives the workpiece to directly participate in surface forming motion. The characteristics of a lathe spindle are three highs and one low (i.e. high speed, high precision, high efficiency, and low noise).
